How can I look for information on a tile art picture signed by JD?

I have a beautiful tile art picture of a fish market. I believe it is done on a copper sheet over tiles. There is 5 tiles which are 11″x11″ each. It is in a frame that is 5′4″ long by 1″8″ high. The tiles are done mainly in cobalt blue, turquoise and copper colors. The tiles depict a day at a fish market. It shows men bringing fish of of the ship to be weighed, boxed up and made ready to ship. It is a beautiful work of art. It is signed in the bottom right hand corner with a simple JD. Any information would be appreciated. I believe it was purchased in CA and was not cheap.

You can check with your local library to see if they have a price guide for such objects. (I couldn’t find one on the web though.) Your best bet would be to take it to a reputable art dealer, antique shop, or local museum and see if they can help you.
