Tufted Rug
How to fix a small hole in a rug/carpet?

I have a light beige carpet in my living room, not very deep nap. Unfortunately, I had an easy chair in the same position for some time (couple years) and the evidently sharp supports on the back of the chair dug two very narrow holes (maybe pencil-end size, maybe a little smaller) in the rug. The carpet tufts are so short that a “comb over” doesn’t work, but I have been trying to think if there is anyway to do a “plug transplant” of carpet fibers, say from the rug in the closet which doesn’t really matter. Anyone with any experience or ideas? thanks!

just saw it on a DIY show. Go to a closet or a corner, and cut a plug slightly larger than the hole. Then use a good clear glue to hold in the the new sport and fluff till it isn’t noticeable.
